René Hansen – Master of Measurement and Quality Expert
René’s journey in quality and metrology began back in the 1990s when he trained as a machinist in the mechanical and metal industry at Alfa Laval A/S in Søborg.
His curiosity led him to Norway, where he began working for a consulting engineering firm serving National Oilwell Varco (NOV), a major player in the American oil industry.
This is where his understanding of quality took off, with heightened demands, precise measurements, and detailed measurement reports.
Measurements and measurement equipment have always been at the core of his work.
His time in the pharmaceutical industry further expanded his expertise in “Metrology in Focus,” covering everything from calibrations to qualification and validation of production and measurement equipment.
The combination of practical craftsmanship in the metal and mechanical industries and an academic background in project management, quality, and metrology laid the foundation for René’s decision to become a consultant.
In his view, this background has equipped him with the ability to quickly and efficiently identify logic and needs in the production environment, as well as help guide his colleagues in the right direction.
